Online Anxiety Therapy in New Jersey

Therapy for adults across New Jersey who expect the worst, have a million “what if’s” they’re sorting through, and just want to quiet their mind.

Anxiety is increasingly common. It shows up in many forms including overthinking, replaying the past, waiting for the other shoe to drop, a nagging voice in your head that questions the security of your close relationships. Despite all the reassurance you get, the anxiety remains.

What Anxiety Therapy with me Looks Like

The evidence-based therapy I’m trained in aims to achieve transformational change. The kind of change that is so fundamental that you don’t have to work at it once it happens. Transformational change means that the scenarios and circumstances that triggered you before won’t.

We begin by uncovering what your anxiety is attempting to protect you from and how your anxiety manifests itself. The last thing we want is to push the anxiety away and demonize it. My approach aims to leave clients fully understanding their anxiety from a compassionate place which is the bedrock of change. From there, I use techniques from the evidenced-based approaches below to address the fear beneath the perfectionism, overthinking, tight jaw, etc. When the root fear is addressed, that anxious part of you can finally relax as it realizes that threat it was perceiving is no longer there.
